Wilson Tunnelling, a major precast supplier in Auckland, New Zealand approached PWS in March 2013.   The machine was built and shipped within 6 weeks of the order being placed.  The container sailed from Southampton docks at the end of April, arriving in Auckland some five weeks later, where it was unpacked, installed and operational within days.

The FIBERweigh will be used to batch almost 100 tonnes of poly fibre for this project.

Dan Wilson, for the Wilson Group commented as follows:

“Phoenix Weighing Services have supplied the Fibre Weigh system to Wilson Tunnelling to produce over 100,000m3 for the Waterview Tunnels Project in Auckland New Zealand. The system will be dosing Poly fibre into a site specific batching plant to provide concrete for the tunnel lining segments which are required to perform for 100 years.

Phoenix Weighing Services have been extremely professional to deal with, all technical information/ plant solutions/ pricing and commercial terms were provided with ease and made the 12hour time difference totally manageable.

The overall product is of the best workmanship I have seen, paint systems and final detailing making it a stand-out from other products supplied on the job.

Phoenix Weighing Services have provided exactly what was promised and to a very tight timeframe.”
